The Church recorded a surplus from operations of $67,000 for the year ended December 31, 2025 compared to a budgeted surplus of $1,000. General Giving tithes & offerings were nearly $37,000 greater than anticipated, while total operating expenses were approximately $25,000 greater than budget. SECURING NEW RESOURCES: THE ANGEL TEAR GRANT FUELS THE BACKPACK MISSION. The chairperson of SMPC's Backpack Committee was approached by a board member of the Angel Tear Grant Committee in October 2025. The board member had learned about the mission we were doing with the Knoch Backpack Children and Families. After many hours dedicated to assembling detailed calculation and documentation, the Backpack Program received wonderful news in early December 2025: a $6,000 grant was awarded!
