Simple Gifts plays a wide variety of folk and world music using about 12 different instruments. They cover everything from Christian hymns to traditional music from a host of cultural heritages. Major venues include the Smithsonian & National Portrait Gallery.

The Sweaty Already String Band brings a blend of traditional and modern bluegrass, along with some unexpected covers and original tunes steeped in the tradition of the Appalachian region where they all grew up.

Cantata with Live Orchestra, Band, & Choir

The capstone of our series, our annual Christmas Cantata has it all! Festival choir, orchestra, and band combine to deliver a truly uplifting musical experience that is sure to get you in the Christmas Spirit. Don’t miss this Saxonburg holiday tradition!

Wind Ensemble

Premier Wind Band

The GCC Wind Ensemble is the select wind band of the college. Under the direction of Dr. Andrew Erb, the group presents an engaging concert full of exciting flourishes, lush harmonies, and fabulous fanfares. It performs literature of the highest caliber in the repertoire, including premiers of new works.

Modern Fusion String Quartet

Pluto Soundz is an eclectic string ensemble that fuses 20th century techniques and popular music. Classically trained founders explore new styles of playing, writing, and performing. Co-Founder and violist Bill Tackett is a proud Knoch High School alumnus!

Singer: American Songs & Spirituals

Tenor Dan Byerly brings a fun concert of well loved tunes from our own cultural songbook. Dan has performed in major New York venues including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. He has sung fully staged opera, oratorio, and concert works with orchestra.
