In the fall of 2025, I was approached by some folks at our church about writing a grant for the Children’s Ministry Program.  They shared the requirements and procedures for applying for an “Angel Tear Ministry” grant from Concordia Lutheran Ministries... I am so pleased to announce that they have chosen to award SMPC's Children’s Ministry Program with $9,000.

GREETINGS CHILDREN OF GOD! There are new things happening in the Children’s and Family Ministry Department.  We have begun more intentional efforts into meeting people where they are and embracing them on the journey.  Our strength as a smaller church comes in sharing relationships with people.  Children are loved, seen, and heard.  Parents are supported through take-home family “Power Packs”, Facebook encouragements, and through events with a purpose in our “Team Family” program.  During the...
